- Choosing the right niche: You cannot make an inspiring web/blog if you are talking about something your clearly understand or enthusiastic about. It won’t be compelling, that’s why you should create a website in line with your areas of interest and experience. #Key points to note
- Site setup: When you are starting from the scratch, spend much time on setting up your site/blog layouts on different platforms before you populate them with data. It can be very annoying and tiresome to find out that something is not right with your setup when you have a bunch of data inserted in, you can even lose everything that has taken you a lot time to build because of a minor error that you didn’t solve when things were still simple. Set layouts, colours, fonts and font sizes, line spacings, templates, headers, footers, page widths on different platforms i.e: on mobile devices, web and tabs. - Site navigation: This is very crucial and it needs much of your time planning how easily it will be for visitors to locate and access your posts and pages. Without proper placement of navigation links or buttons, you can lose customers not because they haven’t been interested in your content, but it wasn’t easy for them to find it! - Be cautious about plugins: A plugin is any tool designed by any individual to perform a certain task but not all of them meet required standards. Use of such untested plugins that you may find anywhere on your live website/blog can really cause you tears when it has broken down your whole site. Every time you plan to install a new plugin on your site, make sure you create a site full back to rescue you if things go wrong. #Key points to note
- Craft your content: Please, you should yourself enough time to create quality content whether it is an article, a video or anything. On internet, 2 things may matter a lot: quality and how your content can inspire someone. If your content doesn’t convey any of the two, you might be disappointed. #Key points to note
